Nail Fungus Treatment

Nail fungus is a common fungal infection that occurs on the fingernails and toenails of an individual. It is usually not a condition that requires treatment, but the infection has the potential to progress and spread. Since this disease is a type of fungus, it is possible for it to reoccur in the same area or on the tips of other nails.

Nail fungus, also known as onychomycosis, usually presents itself as a white or yellow spot. It needs to be treated because it can cause the nail to thicken, crumble and cause pain to the individual as it deepens into the nail.
