Treatment of Skin Mole (Acrochordon)

A mole can be as small as 1 mm in diameter or several centimeters in size.

Treatment Method

Skin tags, which usually start to form after the age of twenty, can grow or increase in number over time. Skin tags are types of moles that do not cause pain or discomfort and do not become cancerous. Also known as stalked moles, skin tags are mostly seen in the neck and armpit areas where the skin folds.

Although skin tags, which are thought to be caused by genetic factors, are seen in almost every age group, they mostly start to appear after the age of twenty. The number of skin tags, which are seen equally in men and women, may increase over time. It is thought that approximately 25% of the adult population has skin tags.

A skin tag, or in other words a stalked mole, which is formed due to the irregular development of the skin tissue, is different from normal moles, which are defined as nevus in medicine. A skin tag can be skin colored, attached to the skin with a small connection point, or it can be a different tone than the skin color. The size of skin tags can vary from person to person, and these lesions can grow over time.

In its treatment, it is used in tissue cutting and removal processes by cauterizing and burning the tissues with a hot tip.

In our clinic, atmoblains are removed with a Fractional carboxyl laser surgical head.
